Hi, my name is Shell. I am an award winning food photographer. I also bake and cook, and love the culture of food, hence, the food photography speciality. I received my first camera in junior high school and set about photographing people and places. I took more courses in high school and college and eventually, was formally trained at ICP in New York City.
I have worked in the photo industry for over a decade in various roles, as a studio manager, producer and editor, so I bring a vast array of skills and experience to the table, pun intended.
I can help you whip up creative ideas, stir up good camaraderie on set, cook up a time efficient, and on budget production, and.....I can put out fires, of the kitchen kind, and other varieties...if you know what I mean. Plus, I can shake up a Singapore sling or stir up a dirty martini.
I derive inspiration from the country, in bucolic scenery and the bounty of nature, and from the city, in the pulse of fashion, art and music.
I am influenced by many forms of expression and that is reflected in my photography style. Working with natural light or strobe, I am equally comfortable in a studio setting as I am on location. Call me and let's create!
